PHT Net Zero Commitment 2035

At PHT Cleaning, we believe that a clean home or office should also mean a cleaner planet.
While Scotland has set an ambitious target to reach Net Zero by 2045, and the UK by 2050, we are committing to achieve our own operational Net Zero target by 2035.

This realistic yet ambitious timeline gives us the opportunity to grow as a business while making measurable, meaningful changes that benefit our customers, our community, and the environment.

What Does Net Zero Mean for Cleaning Services in Glasgow?

Net Zero means balancing the greenhouse gases we emit with the amount we remove from the atmosphere.
For a cleaning company like ours, that includes:

Reducing fuel emissions from travel to client sites, Choosing eco-friendly, biodegradable cleaning products, minimizing waste and increasing recycling, switching to renewable energy sources in our operations.

By focusing on these areas, we’re helping to make homes, offices, schools, and public spaces in Glasgow healthier while supporting the Scottish Government’s Net Zero plans

Our 4 Pillars to Net Zero

1

Fleet & Logistics

We will transition our vehicles to electric and hybrid options, optimize cleaning routes to reduce mileage, and explore partnerships for shared transport in multi-client areas.
This reduces both emissions and cost.

2

Products & Procurement

All cleaning products will be eco-certified and free from harmful allergens where possible.
We already use anti-allergen treatments and eco-friendly products in our Deep Cleaning Services.

3

Energy & Waste

Our offices will use renewable electricity sources and we will implement waste segregation to divert more from landfill.
We’ll work towards a circular economy approach where materials and resources are reused and recycled.

4.

Reporting & Engagement

We will publish annual progress updates so our customers can see our journey.
We’ll also provide eco-cleaning education to clients, helping them maintain greener spaces between our visits.
